My wallet is almost 3 states away

Hello everyone,
So about a half a year ago I lost my wallet in Kansas Lawrence on the street and someone in Louisville Kentucky found it in a box with everything in it. Now, I have not shipped anything at all so I have no idea how it ended up there. The person who found it looked my name up on Facebook and is shipping it back to me. Can someone please explain how my wallet ended up at a state I’ve never been too. This whole thing is absolutely crazy to me. it’s nuts.
