This might sound dumb, but I sometimes wish I would get approached by guys. Idk if I give off any kind of vibe, but I’m a genuinely nice guy. I think I look pretty approachable and generally presentable. I’m no GQ model, but I think I’m attractive. I am a bit on the shyer side, so I’m not good at making the first move. But if you talk to me, I can usually carry on a nice convo.

If I make eye contact with a cute guy, I usually give a little smile and go about my business. I don’t know what else to do and wouldn’t want to come across as creepy or something for lingering too long with the eye contact. I feel like there are other guys who will get approached seemingly without doing much and always wondered why I don’t.

For context, I’m 31, black, 6’ 165lbs, lean, from Texas. Been here almost a year. I’m a dancer, so I tend to be in athletic wear. Longish hair.

I think I missed the class where they taught game, so I’m wondering if y’all got any tips for what I can do. I’ve always wanted to meet someone organically and figured with as big as New York is, it wouldn’t be this hard. I am on the apps too, but there’s not a whole lot of luck on there either. Trying to avoid getting too much in my head about it, but there is a part of me that gets a little down about not feeling desireable. I know that sounds silly.
