Hey guys what is meant by DLSS? some are saying it as anti-aliasing technique and some mention it as super-sampling technique.
If it a super-sampling technique, is there a reason to nitpick for new rtx demos not running in 4K. As mentioned in news blog https://news.developer.nvidia.com/ai-ups-the-resolution-of-images/ and https://news.developer.nvidia.com/new-ai-imaging-technique-reconstructs-photos-with-realistic-results/ . nvidia then can train and send the model to the rtx cards for the tensor cores to take over the task.
The developers can implement a good bug free 1080p game with all ray trace effects (and hairworks as a bonus) and make it run with a solid fps target. For users playing the games, the rtx cards can work their magic and make it run at a higher resolution (if it has the capability).
Before u guys go on that the rt cores are for the light geometry and its physics (GIGARAYS!!!), i want to ask if the tensor cores used for increasing the resolution?
Even if this is not possible with generation of cards, i think it will cool if it is possible in future.
correct me if i am wrong. Thanks.
