John (M, 24) and I (MTF, 23) have known each other since elementary school and are best friends / roommates. We live with another person (F, 23) who we’ve also known since elementary school.
Recently John and I both went to back to our hometown to visit. Since we’re both Jewish I asked if he wanted to come to my family Seder this past week.
When talking about it with my boyfriend Scott (M, 28) I never mentioned that John ended up coming (though I mentioned he was going home). Though the Seder got brought up I did not mention John came. When I mentioned I’d be seeing John later today Scott replied by saying “oh he’s home too?” (Though I had mentioned it). Now I just feel like I’ve done something wrong or lied by omissions.
To be clear John is in a monogamous relationship, there is no tension / history between us, we’re roommates and even if we were to like each other it would be okay (Scott and I are poly). I’m worried though if I bring it up now it’ll look odd or he’ll wonder why I didn’t say anything. There was nothing fishy or to hide about this situation so I’m unsure why I didn’t say “oh Harry’s coming to the Seder too btw!”
should I tell him ?
I don't typically expect my partners to report on on every person at an event.
Is there another reason you have concerns that your partner would be upset by this?

Is it a mistake to not give an attendance record to all your partners regarding every event you attend?
