I (23m) took this girl (23f) on a date today. It went really well and I enjoyed myself, she was very cool and very open in general and up front about her open relationship. Even after she told me this, I kept my mind open and went through with the date and it was pretty great. I told her that I'd need to think about anything serious because of the open relationship thing, but we do have more plans. I've only ever been in monogamous relationships so this is a little weird and uncomfortable for me, but this girl is really cool and I think I wanna try this out. I will probably be meeting the other guy (33m) fairly soon as well. I feel a little in over my head though, I don't know anything about open relationships besides the horror stories I'm sure we've all read. I've looked around this sub a bit already and I understand that I need to talk to this girl about what exactly is going on here so I can know boundaries and what my role here is and other stuff. I saw a lot of advice coming from the perspective of the initial couple that open a relationship, but I didn't see much from the perspective of a single person looking to enter into an open relationship. Any advice at all would be appreciated, I feel a little overwhelmed by the idea but I definitely see how it can be interesting and fun.
