So, I'm not sure where to post this. But I was on a phone call earlier today with my boyfriend when his fiance called and he immediately said, "I have to take this, bye I love you." And hung up in the middle of our conversation. We usually talk on his way home from work every day and his fiance and I split days seeing him throughout the week. Today is "her" day and he said he answered it because it's her day and assumed I would expect the same when I told him it's just a matter of respect and I wouldn't be mad if he took a minute to answer my call or had to call me back, but all I wanted was one minute before he got home to finish our conversation before he had to go for the evening. Am I being petty for being a little upset with the way he handled it?
Edit: It's not the first time this has happened either. It's been multiple times.
His actions made you feel "insignificant" which is cited as one of the worst things that can happen in a relationship.
You felt insignificant and rather you should have or not is not relevant to how it made you feel.
Your reaction to this feeling can effect your future interactions, but being made to feel insignificant hurts!
