NFL Week 4 Predictions Thread (2022 Season)
Post Body

Well, /r/NFL, it looks like we experienced another crazy week of football. I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that they are confident in most of their picks. I know I'm not. Last week I did slightly better, going 8-8 and bringing me to 22-26 so far. This week we have a very early London game as well as four division games on the schedule. Let's get to it!

Winner Loser Comments
Bengals over Dolphins This may be a close one, but I think the Phins get their winning streak snapped on a short week. Burrow is getting slightly better protection and without a consistent running game it's going to be tough for Miami to keep up.
Vikings over Saints London early game. While the Saints defense is pretty awesome, the offense is sputtering out of the gate. Winston's showing his old self, throwing INTs like it's nothing. If there's no change between now and Sunday then it's hard to trust NOLA even with all its weapons.
Browns over Falcons Brissett is putting in the work, averaging almost 200 yards per game with a lot of running from Chubb and Hunt. This is a problem for Atlanta's middle-of-the-road run defense. If the Browns can play mistake-free football they have a chance of going 3-1.
Cowboys over Commanders Close division game. Rush has has shown he can keep the things running on time and the defense hasn't regressed like people thought. The Commanders are still a bit of a mess everywhere and Wentz is not doing his O-line any favors. We'll probably see a few Parsons' sacks.
Lions over Seahawks Detroit is a favorite this week after over a year under Campbell. Even though the Lions are still the Lions and can mess up the odds at any time during the game, Seattle will have to play so much better for that to happen.
Colts over Titans Slight upset pick, as the Titans have won the last three matchups. Indy has done very well against the run and it looks like Matty Ice has finally started settling in. We'll see if the KC win was a fluke or not when they go up against a very good D-line.
Bears over Giants Giants off a short week loss will again be another close one with the same outcome. I don't think Jones will be able to generate any amazing plays to help New York win this one.
Eagles over Jaguars This is a good one. The Eagles have lived up to being at the top so far. The Jags have been a big surprise, in a good way. This could be the weird game of the week. Jacksonville will put up a fight. TDs scored all over the place. But in the end I think Philly will get a close win.
Steelers over Jets Who will the QBs be for this game? Wilson is close to returning for the Jets; but then again Flacco may get a shot at the Steelers. Pittsburgh fans are playing the waiting game for Pickett, and a loss here would move that up. The Steelers get the job done at home, but the questions still linger.
Bills over Ravens Another good matchup. The Ravens are still dealing with secondary issues. On the plus side you get an early game with Jackson and Allen slinging it to top-5 offenses. Bills in a toss-up.
Chargers over Texans Herbert's health shouldn't be a issue this week, but there are other injuries for L.A. to worry about. Houston's offense is 26th in scoring, so this could be a get-well game for the Chargers.
Cardinals over Panthers While the Cards are making a long flight to Charlotte, I don't think this affords the Panthers with an advantage. Carolina won last week due to a Saints team tripping over themselves. If Arizona plays good football, they'll win this matchup.
Raiders over Broncos Not really an upset. The Broncos have fumbled their way to 2-1, with Hackett and Wilson struggling to make consistent plays on offense. I think Carr gets his first win at home.
Packers over Patriots With Jones' ankle in question, Hoyer the Destroyer could be the starter. Going into Lambeau against a good Packers defense is going to be rough either way. Rodgers is 23-2 at home since LaFleur took over.
Chiefs over Buccaneers KC shakes off that funk of losing badly to Indy last week. Brady gets back Evans, but it still won't be enough to outscore the Chiefs. Add to that the hurricane bearing down on Tampa, and this could be a "home" game in another stadium.
Rams over 49ers Even with Jimmy G bringing a little life to the offense, the Rams just look like the better team right now. But this is a division game where Shanahan is 7-3 against McVay, so we'll see.

Those are my predictions, let's hear yours. Keep it civil and fun. Good luck!

Update: 10-6, on to Week 5!
