Ravens |
over |
Dolphins |
Miami's defense has been playing better, but it still can wilt against the run and give up big pass plays. Not sure if Tua will be back, so Brissett is the guy for now. The Ravens should have their way against the Miami defense, taking the early lead and not looking back. |
Cowboys |
over |
Falcons |
One of many bounce-backs wins this week. Sure, there's a little second-guessing going on with Dallas this week, but if the defense can put the clamps on Patterson, Ryan and the Falcons offense, then Dak can get back to making plays on a mediocre Falcons pass rush and secondary. |
Saints |
over |
Titans |
Toss up game with a little homer on the side. Take this prediction with a grain of salt, because I will be eating a lot of crow if the Saints' receiving corps doesn't show up this week. Tennessee is very good even without Henry pounding the ball through the defense. But the Saints' D is still one of the best in the league and will keep the running and passing game contained. If Siemian can finally connect with the butterhands receivers, Kamara and Ingram will do their job and win a close one. |
Colts |
over |
Jaguars |
The Jags pulled off probably the biggest upset of of the season so far, but that doesn’t mean we should suddenly think they’re contenders. Even if they manage to put consistent pressure on Wentz, there’s no way they’re going to slow down the duo of Taylor and Hines. The Colts will put points on the board, and come away with a division win. |
Browns |
over |
Patriots |
A good matchup here. Both teams still have a shot to win their respective divisions. While the Patriots have been playing well, this will be a tough game for them. The Browns’ defense is extremely good against the run, and we have seen that Jones can be an inconsistent passer. This game has the feeling of a Browns statement road win. |
Bills |
over |
Jets |
Normally, this would be a good bounce-back game for the Bills. The Jets have been sometimes better than their record would show, but it shouldn't take too much from the Bills to secure the win. Allen needs to protect the football better and rely on his playmakers to move the ball down the field. The Buffalo defense is good enough to keep the Jets in check. |
Steelers |
over |
Lions |
The Steelers shouldn't need ref help this week. Even coming off a bye, this Lions team is done. Goff is arguably one of the worst starting QBs in the NFL, and it doesn't help his case that he has no playmakers to get the ball to. Right now, the Lions are just hoping they don’t get demolished like they did in Week 8. The Steelers offense hasn’t been that explosive, but they won't need to be on Sunday. |
Buccaneers |
over |
Washington |
Both teams are coming off byes and we should be able to see vintage Brady throwing over a Washington team on a four-game losing streak. Of course there's always the potential for an upset, but the Washington secondary has been one of the worst in the NFL in 2021, allowing to TB12 to sling it at will. Probably a double-digit win for Tompa Bay. |
Cardinals |
over |
Panthers |
No timeline for Murray to be back, and no Hopkins, but that doesn't seem to be an issue with Arizona. With McCoy under center, the Cardinals took care of business in Week 9. The Panthers have been stumbling and bumbling their way through the last few weeks. Even with CMC back, Carolina can't get anything going on offense. |
Chargers |
over |
Vikings |
I have no idea what's going on with this Vikings team. But this will be a good close game with big implications. The AFCW is so tight that the Chargers need to win every game against every team, even the not-so-good ones. However, the Vikings will present a tough test and simply cannot afford to slip to 3-6. Both teams have a lot to play for, but the Chargers have better playmakers and a better defense. |
Broncos |
over |
Eagles |
If what Denver did in Dallas has any meaning then they need to get a convincing win against the Eagles. In two weeks, the Broncos have turned themselves from a laughingstock into an AFC playoff contender, all after saying goodbye to Von Miller. The Eagles are a tough team to read, but this feels like a game where they ultimately fall short. |
Seahawks |
over |
Packers |
Rodgers is scheduled to be back on Saturday, but even with a late game and Rodger's needing little to no practice to start slinging it, and being a home game, it'll be tough to say if he'll take the field against another team whose QB is up in the air. Will we see Wilson vs Rodgers? Or Geno vs, Love? No clue, so I'm very gingerly giving this to the road team with no clue who's starting. |
Chiefs |
over |
Raiders |
The Chiefs have yet to show they are back to normal winning against a Rodger-less Packers team last week. But they are playing a team they know well, winning 11 of the last 13 matchups. Carr hit a funk in New York, while Mahomes was turnover free. The trend will continue and this should be a good game. |
Rams |
over |
49ers |
L.A. definitely had their flub game, losing to the Henry-less Titans last week. But that isn't the new norm, and they have a good get-well divisional game against a 49ers team that is -9 in the turnover margin. But still, these two do like to play it close so expect San Fran to bring everything this week and keep it close. |
