Post Body

Let's say that someone gains residency on Dec 1st 2020 and applies for citizenship exactly 4 years and 240 days later (which would be July 27th 2025 in this example). The Citizenship Office will then look at the following time periods:

Period 1: July 29th 2020 to July 28th 2021 Period 2: July 29th 2021 to July 28th 2022 Period 3: July 29th 2022 to July 28th 2023 Period 4: July 29th 2023 to July 28th 2024 Period 5: July 29th 2024 to July 28th 2025 Travel Period 1: 240 days (as the period July 28th 2020 to November 30st 2020 cannot be counted in this example, due to residency being gained on December 1st 2020) Period 2: 360 days Period 3: 321 days Period 4: 320 days Period 5: 320 days Based on the above math by the time I applied 28 July 2025 I would have done 1561 days which is 211 days more than required does this mean I can apply earlier than the 28 July 2025 date?

Or am I completely off?
