They didn't slam the breaks to avoid a car, witnesses on the street stated they slammed the brakes with no cars around, and that they frequently use that road for rough rides
The cops could have easily proved they tried to avoid a car and had to slam on the brakes with dash cam footage (not installed on the van) and /or body cam footage (turned off)
