For those of you who are massive zombie aficionados, the New Jersey Zombie Walk is hosting a few events. (Disclaimer: I don't actually work for the NJZW, but the guys who run it are really cool and will probably answer any questions you have.)

Of course, the NJ Zombie Walk itself is October 5th at Asbury Park Boardwalk. It's completely free, as always, and features a lot of cool vendors, make-up artists, and ridiculous bar and restaurant specials post-walk. And they're trying to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Gathering of Zombies! They did it in 2010, but they're gonna need more people than ever now.

If you're interested: Facebook is the best for keeping up with updates. They also have an official site, which has some small snippets, merchandise, and more "official" information: Site

A local fitness/yoga studio hosts a Thriller dance every year, so if you're in the area and interested, they do rehearsals different days of the week. If you're interested: Facebook

If you came here for the dirt cheap Six Flags Great Adventure tickets, here we go. The Six Flags Zombie Takeover happens on opening weekend of Fright Fest (September 13 and 14), and allows anyone dressed up as a zombie to enter for about $37 for both days ($15 if you're a Season Pass holder, which confuses me but okay).

On Friday, the zombies get to walk with the opening parade, and they have a Hallowedding if you want to renew your vows. On Saturday, the parade happens again, and after the park's official closing, Zombies get two hours of extra roller coasters! Which is pretty damn cool.

If you're a runner, or want to be a zombie disturbing runners, there's also the Zombie Fright Run on Saturday from 1-4PM. It's a 5k run involving... well... zombie chases! It also comes with park admission for the day. (It's $130 for non-Season Pass holders, so you have to be REALLY committed to this.)

Hope you guys are considering at least one of these events. They're always really fun! c:
