Anyone else have problems with Nerdist.com in Chrome?

I'm using up to date version 21.0.1180.79, Windows 7 Pro and whenever I first load the page my whole computer freezes. The page partly loads then everything freezes up before it finally loads. The mouse pointer still moves but clicking does nothing. Eventually the page finishes loading and everything goes back to normal. I recently reformatted my hard drive and this was happening before and after. Once the page has been loaded once it's not a problem again until I restart my laptop. I can load the page as often as I'd like after the first time.

I've no idea what could be causing this. Anyone else have similar experience?
