The latest Woj Bomb:
76ers receive: James Harden, Paul Millsap
Nets receive: Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, 2022 unprotected first, 2027 protected first
Immediate first impressions: Philly didn't have to give up Maxey or Thybulle in the trade which is immediately a big win for them, and Philly can now push for serious contention if Harden is healthy and ready to go. For the Nets, they ended up getting a decent haul I guess, Andre Drummond is a serviceable backup at center but to my knowledge they don't really have a stretch big unless they trot out a lineup of Kyrie, Seth, Simmons & Durant. Seth also doesn't really help out their defensive issues but is a great backup option when Kyrie isn't playing, but of course Simmons will help their defensive problems when he plays. Brooklyn to my knowledge will have spacing issues outside of KD and Kyrie which Seth definitely helps with. Drummond leaving is a little concerning for the sole reason of Embiid's health, Drummond has been good as a backup but with him gone I'm not sure who Philly's backup bigs are. Overall though I think it's a mostly win win trade.
If I'm wrong about anything I said here, any Nets/Sixers fans feel free to correct me, I don't follow either team so I could be wrong about some things.
How do y'all view the trade?
