What if itβs not that things happen because of their causes, but because of their purpose too? I mean that the cause of the causes themselves are the purpose.
The causation has an end, or an ultimate cause. The manifestation of the ultimate cause is the end.
Take cooking a meal as an analogy. The meal is made through causation. You buy then prepare then slice then boil then fry and so on, but there is an ultimate cause for the meal which requires fulfillment. And that is to be properly and deliciously made and eaten.
Time is not one directional. That means things do not happen just based on the past, but also based on their future. Modern thought focuses too much on the determinism of the past rather than the determinism of the future.
That means our lives are not just determined by the past but also by the future. Ultimately and essentially our role is to contribute to the fulfillment of the universe. And since the universe manifests in and through us, we technically are the universe itself, and so the fulfillment of the universe is also Our fulfillment both as humanity as a whole and as individuals.
