Should I worry about playing shows sooner and trying to get connections?
Post Body

the main and really only thing that im nervous about in my musical future is the concept of starting too late and not getting connections. I don't really plan on taking music super seriously until im 21 or 22 (im 17 right now) but I keep thinking if I should form a band and start playing shows around 19 or sooner. Almost every artist I know talk about when they started off and they talk about playing in bands when they were 17-19 and having connections with other successful musicians/people. My issue is im introverted and don't really cater to meeting people, making friends, or building connections/relationships. Which isn't good because your connections is like 80% of success or recognition. Im just scared Im gonna randomly fall into the scene when im 21 or 22 and nobody knows who I am and it will be like a late start, any pointers?
