Hello, hello fellow brawlers. I've being out for two weeks, one was a kind of forced vacations and the other one was producing the content for this week.
This week the deck is a Trelasarra, lifegain/counters and is the first one from a serie of 7 Brawl commander I'm going to record. Play testing (In spanish) here and the decklist is here and I don't know if it's necesary to say it but these decks aren't rotation proof, I simply can't cut 4 sets that are going to still around for some weeks.
As the title says the deck have a bunch of ways of gaining life for whatever. We have cards that triggers when a creature or land enters the battlefield like Druid class, kazandu nectarpot, prosperous innkeeper... creatures that trigger when do damage/attacks like Sylvan sheperd, froghemoth a.k.a Scanvenging frog, Elder Gargaroth and simple mechanism like Elixir cosmos and Overgrown arch.
Not every card gain life but a bunch of them do and some like Honor Troll or Cleric class help us to gain a little more per trigger. "That extra life don't trigger again lifegain triggers" I know, I know but we have cards that more that "gain life" take care of the amount of life that we gain like The book of exalted needs, Accomplished alchemist, Light of promise and fortifying draught (- Salesman *slaps the card: This bad boy can fit so many sneaky kills in it).
We have some "protection cards" such as Snakeskin veil, feat of resistance and some other to keep alive our big dudes, or if you want, go for letal, put "protection to..." into something and make a big creature unblockable. One of my personal favorites is Wild Shape from the new set, at instant speed you can turn something into a turtle with hexproof or (And I used this one a lot), transform your trample-less creature into a elephant with trample and how the main mechanic of the deck are counters those would still be on your creature (Basically your just giving him trample)
The biggest problem of the deck is that is lacking of removal, we have literally like 3 cards to deal with our problems.
