I fell off of MTG right when covid hit, in part due to covid, and in part cuz my friend circle broke up at the same time practically. Haven't seen those guys in a while, not sure if they still play. Is FNM still a big thing as far as you guys know? I love standard and EDH but like the competitive aspect of standard a lot more as a regular thing, I can't imagine it's still as popular as it was with MTGA coming into the picture, my local game store even says FNM is mainly just Commander players now which is super odd to me.
I love MTGA but it really doesn't have the same feeling of being right across the table from someone and having the freedom to shit talk and fuck around in a friendly environment.
