Why does it seem motorcycles have a much lower shelf life than cars despite usually being driven less?

I rarely see bikes that are 200,000 miles old. Even Yamahas. When I do see them, the market has deemed them worthless or they tend to have mountains of problems. This is despite many North American motorcyclists are subject to riding âseasonsâ and canât ride all year. Whatâs your take on this?
