God said, 'Thou shalt not kill'; at another time He said, 'Thou shalt utterly destroy.' This is the principle on which the government of heaven is conductedâby revelation adapted to the circumstances in which the children of the kingdom are placed. Whatever God requires is right, no matter what it is, although we may not see the reason thereof till long after the events transpire. Joseph Smith, Happiness Letter.
This is the circular logic quote that broke my hermetically sealed system.
I am open to ideas why I misunderstood this from a faithful perspective. It does seem to read âspeaking as a man vs prophetâ and inly the current prophet can tell you what is right. Aka: When the lord speaks the debate is over .
What perspective am I missing my active friends?
