I’m from Chicago and planning to move to Milwaukee next year. Specifically to buy a house.

I’ve been to Milwaukee a bunch of times and usually hang out in Riverwest, East side, harbor view, Bayview and a few other areas so I defiantly have a feel for some the city , but not day-to-day.

I’d like to stay on the Southside but not entirely sure what’s a nice neighborhood. Obviously I know Bayview is nice but it’s getting pricey.

Growing up in Chicago, I’ve been used to the crime here so I’m sure Milwaukee isnt as bad as it is here, although I know the northside of Milwaukee gets a bad rep.

Can anyone recommend any neighborhoods on the Southside besides Bayview? And areas to avoid?
