Plants seem to be budding early

Post Body

Bought some photoperiod and auto seeds and noticed they aren’t growing as tall and are budding early compared to other years. My plants are all outdoors (started in little cells then transplanted in the ground after the second set of leaves developed). I also started them pretty close to the summer solstice so I know days are getting shorter (zone 7b I think). Someone suggested pests in the soil and that would concern me because I’ve felt with ph issues, nutrient issues, storms, and drainage issues all due to outdoor growing. I’ve overcome all these challenges so I’m not worried to take this on as well. I’ll post pictures later. The main question:

What are natural remedies to getting rid of pests that might be affecting the roots?
