How to not be socially awkward? Lol

Ok so when I first started using 7 years ago (on & off smoking) I felt like this shit made me hella charismatic & extremely likable. Now I feel like I’m just socially awkward as fuck, never really know the correct way to respond to things, and end up just being quiet in a lot of social settings out of fear of sounding dumb as hell. Anybody else have this problem lol? Have any tips to not be this way?
