For the last 2 years, I’ve gotten home letters from my medical insurance Blue Shield California requesting me to get a Pap test done or to get an annual wellness exam. Usually, it’s for a Pap test. The only thing that I find kind of strange is why is Blue Shield offering women money to get a Pap smear test done? What’s the catch? They listed $100 as the payment they would give in the form of a potential gift card or some other sort of issuance. Last year’s letters, they offered $50. Am I the only one that thinks this is kinda weird? I have to get a pap done soon anyway since it’s every 3 years .. but idk if I should cash in on this offer. Have any other women had Blue Shield insurance & gotten these letters as well? I’ve posted in this forum quite often but I honestly don’t know where else I could have asked this question. I apologize in advance, if this is the wrong sub to ask.
