Hello everyone! This is a bit of an update to an earlier post. I had the same peeling issue that many others had, but I was able to get my dealership to agree to repaint the vehicle. They've had my car for a little over a month now, but the paint job itself has actually been finished for a few weeks. First a piece of trim had to be replaced, then an over-spray issue on the front end wasn't fixed, etc. Etc. Lots of issues basically. I think part of the problem is that tnr service department and the body shop are not in the same building. But that's a whole other story.
I'm still waiting for the overspray issue to be resolved, but the last time I went out to see the car they had it parked outside so I could get a good look at the paint job. In indirect light there was a definite difference in shade comparing the front end to the adjacent panels. A service employee told me that will be the case because the front end is made of a different material. Does that sound right? I've waited so long for this job to be done already I really don't want any other issues to fall through the cracks.
