Long story short, I currently work for a large hotel with over 1000 rooms. I'm a front desk assistant manager. It's been great working there and have gained a lot of experience but I've only been there for less than 6 months and starting to feel exhausted. 500 plus check ins, 600 check outs, constand questions, constant problems, almost every other day that I need to solve. I've talked with my director about my career path and she made it seem like if I stick around for about a year, you'll be in a great position to work at other properties. Which I can understand but getting exhausted.

A very unique opportunity came up at my previous place of work where they need a manager at a select level hotel. I know everyone there and the job functions are a lot smoother and less stress. Basically, ill be s great fit being hired there.

So the question is, if I switch to a select level hotel and work there for a few years, can I still be able to work at full service hotels in the future? Will this benefit me career wise? I'm strongly considering it but wanted people to weigh in.
