Taking Back Control of My Life
Post Body

M) have just moved from the Bay Area to Dallas for work and family. Sold our primary house in the Bay and bought a house fully in Dallas with my father and grandmother. My grandmother has dementia but we’ve now got a live in home care person for her that will eventually be at the home full time. My father is a truck driver but is out on worker’s comp for about two months. I have a 3 hour commute to and from work everyday to accommodate my Dad’s work location, but feel both trapped and like I am wasting away precious time. I have the means and ability to move out but am responded to with the guilt and responsibility of taking care of my grandmother. My goal is to move closer to my job, I have my schedule already in place and would of course come back home on the weekends to help out around the house etc. I just want to be able to take control of my life as I feel like I’m currently not in control with the current situation. Would love any feedback etc. if I’m thinking straight or not.
