Hello maintenance people. I was wondering if electricians were qualified to become maintenance technicians. For reference right now I am in a union electrician apprenticeship that will have me earning roughly 100,000 a year when I am a journeyman. You may call me crazy but I do not wish to keep this career. It is very hard on the body physically and long term health wise. Also there is the other parts that I do not like such as being expected to work overtime constantly, chance of a long commute to work, and the possible loss of work spending on the economy. If anyone has some insight on this I would love to hear it.
