Played penny dreadful for the first time. Friends got mad at me??
Post Body

To preface this: my dad is the CEO of a big company and if you say anything mean to me, I'll have him track your IP and block you.

I'm fairly new to Magic: The Gathering (going on 2 weeks), but I have a few cards of my own that I have bought over the years. My friends at school said I should build a deck and join them for their "Penny Dreadful" event after school. I thought it would be fun and maybe I can win against a real opponent, other than myself.

Everyone at the table stared in awe at my amazing custom gold-plated Magic: The Gathering deck box. (I bet they thought they were in the presence of a pro gamer) I got the high roll and played Black Lotus on turn 1. Everyone stopped and looked at me like I had done something wrong. I know I'm only 2 weeks into Magic: The Gathering, but I know that you can play cards on turn 1.

They asked why I had brought a tier 0 legacy deck to penny dreadful. They accused me of netdecking too, because how could a newbie know to build a deck like this. I replied that all the cards cost literal cents, because they're just made of cardboard. I didn't see anything wrong with playing 4 Black Lotus in my deck. I could have my dad get me more for cheap. They fit penny dreadful well I thought.

My friends banned me from attending further events so I took a huge dump in their bathroom and wrecked their toilet. Now they don't speak to me at school ever. Can I call the cops on them and have them apologize to me and let me play Black Lotus?
