This is my current magic system, for the sake of ease lets call it Mysticism, and its practioners, Mystics. The core idea is that there are various schools of Mysticism that fall under three affinities; Transmutation, Enhancement and Psyon (all tentative). Since everyone in my world is born with one affinity or another, anyone is capable of becoming a Mystic if they choose to. Most folks are fine with making basic use of their inborn affinity and not becoming proper students of Mysticism.
Im currently trying to figure out what I should add, remove or consolidate to make the system tidier and more cohesive. It is possible for a Mystic to unlock an Affinity they were not born with, though it takes much longer for them to master abilities than someone born with that Affinity. Feel free to ask any questions for clarification, I think most disciplines are self explanatory, the names are mostly placeholders.
