I have a $400-500 budget...help!

As the titles implies, I have a budget of around 500 (would prefer closer to 400), and need help selecting a used macbook pro. I had a macbook pro Yeats ago. But have been using windows lately.
Priorites: Photo editing Light video editing No lagging (while editing photos...obviously 4k video will lag)
I've been looking at 2015 macbook 's with quad core i7,16gb ram...but I'm not sure.
Please help!
Ps I don't care about ports or size or style. Just how functional it is
