Buying Crafting Items... Go in chat?

How do I go about advertising that I want to pay for crafted items for my char? My kinship used to be extremely active but this year it died off... I guess maybe I should join a new kin? Also -- how do you usually pay people, is gold the best method?
Is there another way?
