How is Northwest Freeport overall?

Have some questions on the property value and NW Freeport in general. My relatives live in North West Freeport, which looks like a residential neighborhood. However, once, they’ve bought a house 4 years ago, it hasn’t gone up by much. My other relative in Lyndbrook’s property, bought at the same year, has shot up in price. I’ve heard about Freeport and its crime, but the northwest bordering Roosevelt and Baldwin doesn’t seem bad. How is NW Freeport overall. Also, does anyone know where the village tax is going to?
