Compression and eqing live rock/metal vocals
Post Body

Rock and metal singer here- What is the best way to be able to add compression to my vocals in live performances ?

My style and range is that of a rock tenor akin to Rob Halford, Klaus Meine, Robert Plant, Sebastian Bach. I recently switched to in-ears to be able to save my voice day in and day out. This is allowing me to not be forced to over-sing over loud bands but since I'm singing at not much more than speech level during, my vocals are very much in need of compression/something to cut through the mix to be heard over the loud bands I'm in. I'm a novice as far as any sort of sound engineering
