Post Body

Hey all, I just recently picked up my first rifle for home defense and I'm surprised but I also absolutely love target shooting. I was planning on picking up a second rifle for my wife to take to the range and for a SHTF scenario and now with this recent bill working is way through the house I feel an alarming sense of urgency when it comes to getting another rifle and almost feel I'm better off building out a small stock pile sooner rather than later. ( Ideally I'd like to have 2 or 3 ARs, a PCC and maybe a shot gun or two)

My current plan is to pick up a stripped lower from my LGS they have an Aero M4E1 for $120. I know that's a bit high but they won't charge me a trasnfer fee for the 4473. I was originally going to grab a stripped Anderson for $55 but after shipping and transfer fees it ends up being only $10-$20 cheaper.

With that being said after doing my own research I'm unsure if the manufacture and sale of parts is also affected, what do you all think? Am I safe grabbing an lower to build out eventually or should I get the lower and build out ASAP?

Also with the wording of the bill currently I'm unsure how it affects firearms outside of the AR platform. Last I was aware the wording was calling for a ban of any firearm with a pistol grip and a removable magazine which to my knowledge is just about every modern firearm. Grab the lower sooner rather than later? Stock up on anything I want ASAP? I know the bill is probably dead in the Senate but I'm mad that my means of protecting those I love and a hobby that has been providing great releif is about to be ripped away from me. I'm also sad that if this bill passes I'll never be able to save up enough to purchase some of my dream rifles before the deadline.
