It wasn’t that long ago that I became more aware of myself in terms of my sexual orientation, and i’ve felt all the better for it. Now, I find myself questioning my gender identity, as well. My question is this: how ethical is it to invent my own pronouns/how does the lgbt community feel regarding using pronouns outside ones already established? I’m a big linguistics nerd, and I’ve been drawn to dual person pronouns of Old English (wit/unc/uncer) for a while now, but I haven’t been sure if adopting pronouns like that is like… okay?? Hope that makes sense.
Any input would be great since google searches always give me some prescriptivist/conservative bs that doesn’t even address my question to begin with. Thanks and love you all. ❤️
