Has Lex had on any theoretical, research-focused mathematicians on the podcast so far?
I've enjoyed a lot of the math-related podcasts so far with guests like Po-Shen Loh, Gilbert Strang, Roger Penrose, Grant Sanderson, Jo Boaler, etc., but the conversations mostly focus on topics which are ancillary to "pure" math like competition math, mathematical physics, math education etc.
Are there any others that I happened to miss?
If it hasn't happened yet, would love for Lex to talk to some of this years Fields Medalist winners for example. Quanta recently did profiles on them and they all seem to have very interesting outlooks on the world and on how to make important discoveries in mathematics.
I believe it gives a complimentary view to the worlds of research & innovation in psychology, biology, computer science, and physics which Lex has had many amazing, in-depth discussions on.
Edit: Ha! I knew it must exist, since this is Lex we're talking about, after all! Upon further searching, I missed Podcast #190, Jordan Ellenberg: Mathematics of High-Dimensional Shapes and Geometries. Still, my suggestions above apply :)
