So I've messaged 5 different women over the course of the last month and gotten zero response. I've also been messaging people for the past two years as well and still had this problem, but I haven't kept count of the times people just didn't respond over that whole time.
Lately I've been sending the following:
"Hi, I saw your post on lesbian r4r and I might be interested!
My name is Violet. I'm a transgender woman in pennsylvania. I've been on HRT for two years and have an appointment to consult with a surgeon for SRS.
I'm 25 and I live in the United States, in Pennsylvania. EST.
I'm in my first year of college. It's VERY stressful, but I'm getting good grades and surviving so far.
I like to make things! I am a programmer, and artist, and a musician. I have examples of my work I like to show off, if you're interested.
This is what I look like as of April:

I also like video games and that is my idea of a date. If you reply to this message, I will be sure to send over my full steam library and we can see what games we have in common.
Best of luck finding someone, and have a lovely day!"
I'll often edit it a little to personalize it to each person - if we have games in common, or live nearby, or whatever.
I don't know if they think I'm a bot, or catfishing, or scamming, or what. I wish more people would respond to my posts (I've posted here three times now) but I don't want to hurt people by turning them down if I'm not physically attracted to them. I can't imagine putting up a dating ad and then not messaging people who respond to it - being on the receiving end of it so much, it seems cruel. So, I message first, but then I have this problem that literally nobody messages back.
It's hard not to take it personally when it happens so often. Am I just ugly? Desperate? Uninteresting? Am I saying something that puts them off? Feedback, please.
