Is it just me, or do ATLA fans who hate/dislike Legend of Korra only dislike it because it's not exactly like ATLA and they refuse to acknowledge that it's a different show with its own story and characters. I just feel like people who dislike Korra would actually enjoy it if they weren't comparing every little aspect of it to Avatar. "Oh Korra is a more flawed character than Aang." Umm yeah that's kind of the whole point, she has to grow into a better Avatar through trial and error. "Oh well Legend of Korra as a show has more flaws than Avatar." Uhhh yeah that's pretty normal considering the fact that ATLA is one of the greatest and most perfect shows of all time, ranked by many articles and publications as a top 100 show ever. No, not top 100 animated show ever, just SHOW. I hate people who go into watching Legend of Korra with a nostalgia-esque mindset. You gotta think of it as a different show. It's a wonderful show if you give it the chance. But if you still don't like it even after watching it with an open mindset, then that's completely understandable.
Edit: Thanks for all the comments y'all. Korra is definitely a flawed show and is not as great as ATLA imo. It has tons of flaws. I still enjoy it as a show and I personally relate to Korra more than Aang, but people's disliking it is justified. I also might be still in my honeymoon phase of the show (even after my 4th watch of it), although I think Im starting to see the flaws of it more clearly. Specifically Team Avatar's relationship. It just doesn't feel genuine to me.
