Hi folks, I registered an LLC in the State of Louisiana several years ago. I didn't end up doing any work using the LLC and left it sitting unused.
I'm considering starting a small company now and I have a few questions regarding the situation with my previous LLC:
What is the process to reinstate my old LLC? It is currently listed as Inactive with the reason being: "Action by Secretary of State". Since I didn't end up doing any work under the entity I had nothing to claim so I did not file any reports.
Is it legal for me to create a new LLC and leave the old one inactive?
Are there any penalties or concerns I should have regarding leaving the old one inactive? If so, should I dissolve it?
Thanks for the help!
