Signing over car title from decedent
Post Body

Hi all,

I’ll try to sum this up simply: my husband passed in 2015, and unfortunately we never updated his will when we got married (lesson learned- it’s been a nightmare).

“My car” is in his name, and his mother (resides in PA) is named as the executor of his will, in his will, from 2010.

I sent the car title to her to sign over to me so I can register it here. The issue is: the car is from NC, titled in NC currently, she lives in PA, and I am in IL.

Is it as simple as her signing it over and sending it back to me?
