Can I keep my mother away from my family?

Post Body

Florida, USA.

After years of emotional and occasionally physical abuse, my mother was arrested last year for assaulting me, which I caught on video. This was in the presence of two of my children, aged 7 and 4.

She took a plea bargain where the charges would be dropped if she attended anger management and abided by a no contact order for eleven months. This period will be coming to an end soon.

My concern is that, now that there will be no legal repercussions, she will harass my family by showing up to my kid’s events, family member’s houses when she knows we will be there, etc. She has a history of doing things like this, and she also pushed the boundaries during the court mandated no contact by sending gifts to my children and posting about them on social media. This was technically not a violation since I was the only one included in the no contact order.

Is there any way to legally keep her away from me and my kids without a lengthy, expensive court battle?
