So I just had a question.. I live in Virginia btw. My sister is supposed to go to her dad’s on the weekends. Her dad lives with his sister. His sister has Covid. Sister 1) has POTS Sister 2) has asthma Myself) Pregnant Mother) has to work Mom wanted her to get a negative Covid test before letting my sister go over there and then come back. (She was fever free for 24 hours) The dad says absolutely not mom is being selfish. Shows up to our home. Mom says he can pick her up tomorrow after another 12 hours with a negative Covid test 🤷🏻♀️(she also lets the youngest sister get a lot of extra time with him without any problems. Sister 2 went no contact a few years ago) he starts arguing with her and mom shuts the door. He starts pounding on the door, ringing the doorbell nonstop, and yelling. This causes my sister 1 (the youngest, who has since went in another room with the door shut) to start having a panic attack trembling and crying begging me to make it stop. I left her with my sister 2 (almost 18) and I was inaudible to them. I yell through the door that I have a gun and that I would shoot him if he didn’t leave and that he needed to Leave (in a much meaner way I was heated that my sister was in shambles bc of her dad) I announced it three times even though I don’t own a firearm at all 🤷🏻♀️ I really was just talking shit to get him to stop so she could calm down. It worked. Was it the best method? Probably not. But all I could think was to help my sister calm down. The police are telling me I can be charged with assault? What’s the situation on that? I have never been in trouble before. All I could think to do was protect my sister because he was being menacing and refusing to leave.
