I was unloading molten aluminum at my client’s customer’s facility. I was having some equipment issues (clients equipment) and ended up obtaining 3rd degree burns and spent a week in a major university’s burn unit. Now over a month later (im still not able to work) I was just on the phone with the safety coordinator and he told me they sent the equipment out for testing as they believe it was faulty. Also there MAY have been some negligence when the client loaded the container I had to unload. I have filed a claim with my accidental occupation insurance. Im wondering if I should speak to an attorney about any further recourse I may or may not have. Thanks.
