Class action lawsuit

My company is currently in a class action lawsuit that has been filed against them for unpaid overtime. It was filed by 4 previous employees, but they filed it on behalf of all workers who may have been subject to this. I received an email that I can join the lawsuit, but I still work for the company. Can I legally join the lawsuit if I still work here? I know if the plaintiffs win, I would get money back. Aside from that though, what are some other pros and cons of joining this lawsuit?
