[GA, USA] Speeding Ticket - Do I need to show up in court?
Author Summary

Post Body

I got a speeding ticket in May. The ticket said that I would need to appear in court on July 29, 2024. I also logged onto the EZCourtPay website and saw that the court date says July 23, 2024.

I've been calling the municipal court clerk office for over a week and they keep answering and telling me she isn't there and they cannot answer any of my questions. Today, they said she wont be back until Thursday, but my court date is tomorrow.

  1. If I pay online, do I need to go into court? (This is a 5-hour drive for me).

  2. Is there someone else I can contact to have it postponed until the 29th like the ticket says?
