I've recently started CS courses online, and have taken a liking to html/css front end development, but I am having some difficulty with teaching myself JS. I'm the type of person that benefits from asking a lot of questions to find out why everything works a certain way, and its very difficult to learn on my own in the sense that I get one question answered, and then another pops up later. If someone was there where I could ask about certain things, I feel like I would be much better at resolving these problems I'm talking about, but I understand that this 'babying' only goes so far, and that I need to be able to teach myself things in order to be a competent developer. Has anyone here struggled learning on their own, but thrived with mentorship? How did you overcome this if you did, and after learning a good bit were you then able to learn things more adeptly on your own? I'm going into a CS degree with a focus on software engineering and I'm nervous especially with the whole 'remote classes' thing being the norm now.
