Post Body

Hi. I'm new to programming. I have spent the past year automating office work for a small company. I have been given a budget for training and development, but am not sure where to start.

I would like to take my code out of excel to become stand alone, so I was thinking that I should do a c# course.

I would also like to create a web front end, so thought maybe a .net course.

Should I try to become a Microsoft Certified Professional?

Are there any good courses for either of these languages which would provide me with recognised certifications, and which I can attend in person?

I have already found an SQL course that looks good as I would like to take the databases that I have set up out of access and in to something that doesn't condense my queries in to 1 line of text as soon as turn my back, or require me to write all of my functions in vba. I've asked advice of friends and family for this one and am pretty happy with my choice, but for the rest am unsure.
