I've recently switched to using quickcast because it seems most people recommended it and on the surface it seems a more efficient way of casting spells and items.

In general I think I like it, but what I'm really struggling with is needing to push alt-hotkey to self cast spells and items now, where as before I could just double click the hotkey. Double clicking the hotkey was much simpler and much quicker than using alt-hotkey. All my self-casting is too slow and cumbersome now. Force staffing to escape has never been worse for example.

I'm really tempted to disable quickcast and go back but I feel like that might be giving up. But I really want to self cast with double clicking hotkeys!

Should I persist? Am I doing something wrong? Is not using quickcast really that bad?
