Hey y'all,
A little background first. I'm 5'11 184lbs, my goal right now is to cut. I've been doing IF for the past two weeks on a 16:8 ratio, I eat two meals a day in the afternoon and evening. I go to the gym m/w/f in the morning and do LISS on off days. Based on a LG macro calculator I should be consuming p183/c60/f79/1600 kcal on rest days and p183/c359/f53/2600 kcal on training days.
I'm currently living on a military base. My barrack doesn't have a stove so I can't prep my own meals. I eat out at the galley (cafeteria) and while they serve a great variety of food, it can be difficult to get an accurate read on the macros/calories of the dishes they serve. I log everything I eat to the best of my ability on MFP, but a lot of the time it feels like I'm giving an educated (but inaccurate) guess of what I'm consuming . So far I follow 3 rules of thumb
1) only eat till I'm full.
2) consume more fats on rest days & more carbs on training days.
3) eat lots of protein.
Do you guys have any advice or tips on how to improve my dieting?
count the calories once and get used to that plate so you dont have to count them
