I see this every clash now.

My tier 3 team is matched against another team with maybe a plat guy and several unranked/bronze players who all go 9/0 in lane, often using weird strats. When I say weird, I mean champion picks that don't make sense in gold/silver/bronze. I'm sure diamond is a different beast with all kinds of interesting things - I don't watch LCS or streams - but I know what's going on in gold/silver, and it's not fucking Ornn mid finishing 1/1/17.

If Clash is supposed to be competitive, why is it so easy to smurf into? Diamond teams fuck silver teams without even trying. It's not remotely competitive, and it's less and less interesting each time around.
